Project description
This project involves the construction of 31 core houses in Gulran District, Herat Province, for earthquake-affected communities under UNOPS.
The scope includes construction of earthquake-resistant housing units using local materials, covering site preparation, foundation works, wall construction (adobe/masonry), roofing systems (steel beams), doors, windows, plastering, and finishing works.
The project also includes beneficiary identification, community engagement, quality control, and technical supervision, ensuring safe, durable, and sustainable shelters.
The objective is to provide safe, resilient housing and support early recovery and livelihoods of affected families.
