Project description
This project is implemented under the UNDP REVIVE Program in Pashton Kot District, Faryab Province, aiming to improve rural infrastructure, reduce flood risks, and enhance community resilience.
The scope includes the rehabilitation of 10 km gravel road and the construction of 220 meters of gabion protection walls across Kariz Lalmi and surrounding villages. These interventions are designed to protect roads, agricultural land, and residential areas from seasonal flooding and erosion, while improving safe access and connectivity between villages.
The project involves key civil works including earthworks, road base preparation and compaction, excavation, stone masonry, gabion installation, and backfilling, all executed in accordance with approved drawings, BoQs, and technical specifications.
The intervention supports livelihoods, transportation, and disaster risk reduction, benefiting multiple communities by ensuring safe movement of people, goods, and services throughout the year.
